Batter's Box Interactive Magazine - Tying Up Some Loose Ends

Kent and Jordan are going to be scarce around here for the next few days, as Real Life (that cartoon villain that he is) intrudes roughly on the paradisal idyll that is Da Box. I'll try to hold up my (normally silent) end of the Management Triumvirate.

Both gentlemen apologise (unnecessarily) for their absence.

Congratulations to R Billie and Scott Lucas on reaching the BBFL finals, defeating the Coach and Snellville Jones respectively.

I think it was fitting that the tooth and whisker battle with the Walrus was decided by one. Eventhough I had an 8-3 lead after Saturday the categories were very close and the end result could have gone either way. Schilling's Twinge (as it will be referred to in BBFL lore) quite possibly decided it.

We'll see if the luck holds for a final two week marathon against the Nation Builders.

Ditto thanks, Craig -- I'm getting in all my posting today, since I'll likely be incommunicado from tomorrow at least through Friday.

I wish I had stated for the record back in April my belief that Nation Builders had a championship-calibre club; alack, I didn't, and now my non-prediction has as much force and effect as my early unspoken inkling that buying Internet stocks might not be the great idea everyone seemed to think it was.

I've forgotten -- when is the off-season trading window again?
