There's very little left to play for today: all 4 division series matchups have been determined as the Houston Astros were crunched. San Francisco and Atlanta are still battling for homefield advantage in the NLCS.

NL Central: Chicago clinches and will face Atlanta in NLDS

Kerry Wood won't have to pitch Sunday and will almost ceratinly be the game 1 starter against Russ Ortiz and the Braves. The Astros folded their tent and the Cubs played solid baseball to clinch

I think Jimy Williams didn't get the most out of his club. Outside of Atlanta, no National League team can match the quality of Houston's 6 best players: Kent, Bagwell, Berkman, Oswalt, Dotel and Wagner. Surround that with several good players (and the Astros have those too) and you ought to win 95 games.

The Giants won 4 of 6 from the Braves, so should Atlanta lose and the Giants win, San Francisco will be the #1 seed in the NL playoffs. If both clubs win or both lose, the #1 seed will go to Atlanta. In that scenario, the Giants would ordinarily have to play a make-up game against the Mets in New York, but because of travel difficulties they requested that a make-up game not be played under those circumstances.
