Fun fun fun in the Batter's Box!

  1. Fordin's report from yesterday's 6-5 win over the Pirates. If you haven't already read my Pirates preview!

  2. Fordin Notes on yesterday's game. Today it's Josh Towers vs. Nate Robinson of the Tigers. This one available anywhere?

  3. Chris Zelkovich of the Star interviews Jays broadcaster Tom Cheek in "The Iron Man of radio".

  4. Star reporter Geoff Baker gives us "College kids take on Bosox". What's with all the Red Sox articles in the Toronto media lately?

  5. Richard Griffin talks about some of the young pitchers we saw on the weekend in "Tosca gives kids a taste of the big time".

  6. Has Bob Elliott been reading the Box? His article "Patience is the key for Rios" would suggest that he may be. Welcome aboard, Bob!

  7. The Globe's Larry Millson informs us that Woodward gets hop on No. 1 job". You can also read Millson's take on yesterday's game.

  8. Florida Today reports that "Arnold struggles against Pirates". Jason is a native of Melbourne, Florida, so I'm not surprised that a Florida newspaper is following his exploits. Go get 'em next time, JA!

  9. Is anyone else going to be following the flurry of NHL trades we should see today? If the Leafs pick up any more former Flames, I think I'm going to cry. Nieuwendyk, Reichel, Roberts, and Kidd are enough!

  10. Last, but not least, "Sheffield May Be Out Two to Three Months". This would seem to help everyone but the Jays, as Sheffield should be back by the time the two squads meet. So is Jeter going to play center?

Between the Jays game, the NHL trade deadline, and a Panthers-Leafs game, this should be a good day for Toronto sports. The Raptors are playing too, but they're 27-36, so other than Burley, who cares? The scary thing is that they'll still likely make the playoffs!
