I do, however, have several rivals.

1. Fordin Notes on Terry Adams and Eric Hinske's musical taste, among other things.

2. Here's MLB.com's take on yesterday's 6-3 loss to the Redlegs.

3. In Fordin's "Halladay sees silver lining" we find out that Halladay was happy that Reed Johnson dropped a routine flyball. Why couldn't Halladay work from the stretch with the bases empty, if he really needed the work?

4. Larry Millson of the Globe reports that "Rios swings a hot bat". In Colorado they store baseballs in a humidor. Have the Jays installed a pizza oven for their lumber?

5. Rios isn't the only minor leaguer who had a good day, as "Haines enjoys strong outing". I'm still waiting for the title "Haines His Way". I mean, if we can make all kinds of bad Cash references, why not a reference to women's underwear?

6. Rios isn't the only minor leaguer who had a good day (wait, didn't I just say that?), as "Sequea makes big impression". I love titles that can be taken several ways; my all-time favourite is "Children Make Delicious Snacks".

7. Richard Griffin has a feel-good story in "It's a dream Halladay for Toronto youngster". It seems all we've heard in the last few years about players is talk of steroids and how the players are big poopyheads for not letting the owners do whatever they want in the name of "competitive balance", so it's refreshing to see something like this in the Star. Thanks, Mr. Griffin.

8. Geoff Baker of the Star has a nice father-son story in "Wells Sr. one ring ahead of junior: Jay outfielder's father a champion". Is this Bizarro World? Am I actually reading the Star? Where's the fire-and-brimstone stuff? I guess if I want that, I'll have to read Claire Hoy's editorial in the Post.

9. Mike Ganter of the Sun tells us that "[David] Bush [is] turning heads". Personally I prefer redheaded females, but we all have different tastes.

10. The Sun also has the AP Summary of yesterday's game.

11. Here's a rather odd story I found in the Globe "Jays, baseball state case against seniors home". You gotta wonder about any story that starts "A seniors housing project proposed for south of the SkyDome threatens the security of the stadium and Toronto Blue Jays baseball players".

12. Bob Elliot informs us that "Jays players back drug testing". Why is Elliott's stuff showing up in the London Free Press but not the Toronto Sun (or atleast, on the Sun website)? Anyone have details on that?
