A guaranteed personality

  1. Fordin Notes and another bad Simon Pond related title pun.

  2. In "Halladay lets it loose" Fordin informs us that Halladay was treating yesterday's start as if it were a regular season game.

  3. MLB.com also has yesterday's game report on the Jays 2-1 victory over the Motown Kittens.

  4. To the surprise of absolutely no one who has been watching Spring Training "Lefty Chen reassigned to minor-league camp".

  5. The Detroit manager pines for the good old days in "Trammell yearns for another rivalry". I think it'd be great for baseball if Detroit and Toronto were put back in the same division. In London, there was always a lot of excitement whenever the two teams played each other, given that the city is halfway between Detroit and Toronto. The diehard Detroit fans would watch the game at Joe Kool's, while the diehard Blue Jays fans would go to Auto's. Auto's didn't survive the malaise that fell over the Jays in the late 1990's, and since has been replaced with a Vietnamese restaurant. Best spring rolls in town, but they won't be showing any baseball games this year.

  6. Geoff Baker talks to a former Blue Jay ace in "[Dave] Stewart glad to return to game". "Where are they now?" stories are fun, but I'd love to see more focus on the Jays future and the less on their past.

  7. Richard Griffin discusses the new breed of General Manager in "New execs chips off the old block". This one is a lot more gentle than you'd think it'd be.

  8. Mike Rutsey of the Sun gives us some good news in "Left-hander finally ready to pitch for real ". According to Rutsey "Lilly's next outing will be a two-inning stint against the Phillies on Wednesday night."

  9. Rutsey informs us that Frankie likes to watch himself in "Cat's caught on film: Blue Jay obsessed with video of swing". I just hope staring at the screen for so long doesn't give him more problems with his eyes!
