Game 3: A Tiger Sweep?

Betcha no one figured two days ago that that would be today's headline, huh? Nothing against the Tigers, who've given it their all, but the Blue Jays have played very poorly in dropping the first two games of the season-opening homestand. With a trip to Fenway Park following the game, the Jays can't afford an 0-3 start.

On a happier note, tonight marks the much-anticipated return to Toronto of Pat Hentgen, who is almost certainly the most popular pitcher in franchise history. Expect a long and loud ovation for the club's very first Cy Young Award winner. It's a big night for Pat personally, as he needs just five strikeouts to become the fourth Blue Jay pitcher to record 1,000 K's in his career (a fabulous no-prize to the first Bauxite who can name the other three). Hentgen also enters his matchup with Jeremy Bonderman riding a remarkable 11-game winning streak against Detroit. Can this Glory Jay restore the pride and salvage a win from this ugly series? Stay tuned.
