The Jays are dominating Twitter today. The Ubaldo Jimenez rumours are still out there but the Jays appear to be focused elsewhere. Today the hot topic is that Edwin Jackson and Mark Teahen may be Toronto bound in return for Jason Frasor, a Chicago native, and one or more prospects.
The next rumour is that the Jays will flip Jackson to St Louis for Colby Rasmus, the under-achieving, Tony La Russa doghouse inhabiting, gifted centre fielder. Is that a straight up deal? Who knows.
And lost in all the twittering is that the Jays have reportedly signed a bunch of draft picks.
Deails of the draft signings to follow but reportedly sandwich pick Jacob Anderson (OF); 2nd round pick Jeremy Gabryszwski (P); 11th round pick Andy Burns (SS); 21st round pick Peter Mooney (SS); and 26th round pick Justin Atkinson (SS) have signed.
And Barry Davis is reporting that Brad Mills is on his way to Toronto to work out of the bullpen.
