Tonight was a night to forget for the pitchers giving up a combined 25 runs over 4 games.  Daniel Norris had another terrible outing for Lansing, raising his ERA into the double digits.

 Norffolk 8 - Buffalo 4

Tonight the Bisons were up against former Atlanta Brave Jair Jurrjens, who now is trying to make it back to the big leagues with Baltimore.  Jim Negrych had another great night, with his 12th double of the season, to go along with 2 walks.    Ryan Langerhans hit his 7th home run of the season later off of Norfolk reliever Jairo Asencio.

Claudio Vargas was not impressive tonight giving up 5 earned runs over 6 innings.  He gave up two home runs tonight off the bats of Danny Valencia and Jason Pridie.  Claudio was followed by Bobby Korecky, Chad Beck, and Alex Hinshaw.  Chad Beck did not fair well in his AAA debut this year, giving up 2 hits, and 2 walks over an 1 1/3 innings.

New Britian 5 - New Hampshire 4

Marcus Walden started tonight for the Fisher-Cats, he wasn't at his best tonight giving up 4 earned runs over 4 2/3 innings pitched.  He was relieved by Austin Bibens-Dirkx who appears to be a reliever now with the arrival of Sean Nolin and Chad Jenkins to NH as starters.  Austin and Joel Carreno both pitched well combining for 4 2/3 innings pitched giving up 4 hits while striking out 6.

Kevin Pillar continued to hit well in the lead-off spot, with 2 hits, raising his average to 331.  John Tolisano, and Jack Murphy each had two hits including a double.

Dunedin 4 - Bradenton 9

Scott Copeland was on the mound tonight for Dunedin, and gave up 5 runs over 7 innings pitched.  He was relieved by Tony Davis who had a rough outing giving up 4 runs over 1/3 of an inning pitched.

The Dunedin offense tonight was powered by homeruns from Andy Burns and Marcus Knecht. Andy Burns continued to impress, with a walk, home run and a stolen base.

Lansing 4 - Dayton 11

Daniel Norris had another start to forget, which included him giving up 6 earned runs over 1.1 innings pitched.  He was followed by several poor performances from Lugnut pitchers, that included recently promoted Justin Jackson giving up 1 earned run, walking 3 over his 1 inning outing.

The bats tonight were unabled to get anything going vs Dayton's starter and Reds first round pick from 2011 Robert Stephenson.  Stephenson went 6 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 9 Lugnuts.  After the starter's exit the Lugnuts were able to get 4 runs off Dayton's relievers.  This included Missisauga's own Dalton Pompey who had a double, and a triple.  Right Fielder Carlos Ramirez had a 2 run bomb, but this wasn't enough to help the Lugnuts come back from their early hole.

Three Stars
3-Ryan Langerhans
2-Jim Negrych
1-Andy Burns
