Sean Nolin was Brilliant, Dunedin was not

Sean Nolin was brilliant in an afternoon start for New Hampshire, as he pitched six innings, giving up 1 run with 13 strikeouts.  Aaron Sanchez left his Dunedin start in the first inning due to an unknown injury, and Dunedin gave up 19 runs after his exit.  Buffalo, and Vancouver had the night off.

New Hampshire 2 – Bowie 1 (11 Innings)

Sean Nolin was dealing in today’s tilt, as he pitched 6 innings giving up one earned run, with one walk, and 13 strikeouts. 

On the offensive side Andy Burns is slowly catching up to AA pitching, as he was 2-5 today with a triple.  Kevin Nolan was the offensive star today, as he was 3-5 with a game winning single in the bottom of the 11th inning to end the game.

 

Dunedin 6 – Lakeland 19

Aaron Sanchez left the game after one out due to an undisclosed injury, and Dunedin had a night to forget afterwards.  John Anderson, Kramer Champlin, Shawn Griffith, and Justin Jackson combined to give up 15 hits, 19 runs, of which 11 runs were unearned, with 10 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Marcus Knecht clubbed his 9th home run of the season.  Shane Optiz, Mike Crouse, and KC Hobson each had a double.

 

Lansing 9 – West Michigan 3

Taylor Cole started tonight, and pitched 5.2 innings only giving up 1 run, 4 hits, with 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts.

Kevin Patterson had his team leading 17th home run.  Emilio Guerrero had a double, and a triple.

 

Vancouver – Day Off

 

Bluefield 5 – Princeton 1

Alberto Tirado had an excellent start in which, he threw 4 innings while giving up one earned run with three walks, and six strikeouts.

Matt Dean was 3-4, with a triple and two runs scored.  Jorge Saez, was 3-4, with a double, two RBI’s, and one run scored.

 

GCL Blue Jays 10 – GCL Astros 3

Chris Rowley had another excellent outing, as today he pitched 6 innings, giving up 2 hits, and one earned run with one walk, and four strikeouts.  Cale Wine gave up two runs, while pitching the 7th and 8th innings.

Sean Hurley hit a solo home run in the 4th inning.  Franklin Barreto had his sixth triple of the season, and Gabriel Cenas had his second triple of the season. 

 

DSL Blue  Jays 6 - DSL Cardinals 2

Deiferson Barreto was 2-4, with a triple, and two runs scored. 

Miguel Castro continues to be one of the best pitchers on the DSL Jays team, in today’s outing he pitched 5 clean innings giving up two. hits, with no walks, and eight strikeouts.
