Austin Bibens-Dirkx continues to dominate.  He was demoted to Dunedin despite being the best starter in the NH rotation at the start of the year and did what you'd expect a 28 year old to do in high A.  Now that he's back in AA, he's pitched 7 innings twice in a row, allowing a grand total of 10 baserunners while striking out 12.  It must be frustrating for org guys like this, bouncing around organizations, getting punished in the PCL, moved back and forth between starting and relieving.  I'd like to see him in AAA before the end of the season just based on results.

Alan Farina is another guy in AA who might deserve a better fate than being buried on the depth chart ... briefly a relief 'prospect', he had Tommy John in 2011 and missed 50 games at the start of this year for smoking pot, which everyone knows makes you a better ball player.  If you toss out 2012 (his recovery from TJ year), he's destroyed AA since 2010 without even a taste of AAA.

Any other org soldiers out there worth pulling for?

Matthew Smoral had his best start this morning. Went 4 IP allowing 2 hits and strikingout 5 allowing no runs. If Smoral and Norris figure it out....OH BABY!!!

Marijuana is banned as a drug of abuse, not a PED. In any case, I hardly have sympathy for him on that front as he should have known the rules.

To further Oceanbound's comments re: knowing better, players don't get suspended for their 1st pot offense. Farina knew he had tested positive once before.
