Goins Walks It Off

Ryan Goins drove in the winning run in the eleventh inning of a 0-0 game. Goins also threw out a runner at the plate with a strong throw. Sean Nolin pitched six shutout innings. This was Nolin's third straight start with zero's on the scoreboard. New Hampshire and Lansing lost while Dunedin were rained out.

Charlotte 0 Buffalo 1

This was a pitchers duel, both starters, Sean Nolin and Erik Johnson pitched six shutout innings. Nolin's line was six innings, 4 hits, no walks, 4 K's. This was Nolin's third straight start with no runs allowed. Ryan Goins saved a run by throwing out a runner at the plate.

The game stayed tied until the eleventh. Kevin Pillar lead off with a single, moved to second on a Dan Johnson single and with two out Ryan Goins singled him in. Goins was the only Bison with two hits. Austin Bibens-Dirkx pitched two innings for the win.


New Hampshire 2 New Britain 4

Casey Lawrence pitched well until he gave up a two run home run with two out in the sixth. Lawrence was charged with four runs on six hits. He had just one K.

The Fisher Cats downfall was an 0-10 with runners in scoring position. Both runs came from walks that scored on sac flies. They had six hits, Mike McDade had two.


Lakeland at Dunedin - Postponed

This game will be played on Sunday.


West Michigan 4 Lansing 2

Adaric Kelly made his A ball debut in the eighth inning of a tied game. He allowed a ground ball single, recorded two outs, walked a hitter then gave up an RBI single with an added error to make it a two run game. Another debutante, Matt Dermody started. He pitched four innings and gave up two runs.

The Lugnuts took a two nothing lead in the second inning, Derrick Loveless doubled in a pair of runs. But that was it, Mitch Nay had 3 hits, Matt Dean and Dickie Thon had two each.
