After spending the past few years pitching in Asia, Radames Liz made his 2014 debut for the Blue Jays and was solid in his debut.  The farm was 1-3 on Sunday, with the only win coming in a 1-0 victory for New Hampshire.

Buffalo 2 – Louisville 5

The Bisons faced a rehabbing Mat Latos and weren’t able to muster much offensive off him and the Louisville bullpen.  Brad Glenn had 2 hits, while Ryan Goins and Jack Murphy each had a double.

Marcus Stroman was given the start, and he gave up had a line of 4ip, 5h, 4er, 1bb, 5k.  John Stilson followed with two scoreless innings, and Ryan Tepera gave up one earned run over 3 innings.

New Hampshire 1 – Portland 0

Radames Liz made his Blue Jays debut, and threw his first official pitch in North American baseball since 2010.  Radhames threw 3 scoreless innings, which was followed by 5 scoreless innings from Richard Bleier, and a clean 9th by Randy Boone getting his second save of the season.

The Fisher-Cats scored their only run when Matt Newman doubled to start an inning, and was driven in later that inning on a Kenny Wilson single.

Lakeland 6 – Dunedin 0

Jesse Hernandez had a start to forget as he gave up 13 hits and 6 runs (5 earned) over 4.1 innings.

The Dunedin bats only had two hits, a single from Dwight Smight, and Markus Knecht.

Lansing 6 – South Bend 7

Lansing unfortunately lost a close game that included a disappointing start from Jeremy Gabryszwski, who had a line of 5ip, 9h, 5er, 1bb, 2k.

The Lugnuts offense had a strong game in which they had 11 hits, and 3 walks, which amounted to 6 runs.  Everyone in the Lugnuts lineup beside Chaz Frank had a hit, and Jorge Saez had 2 hits, with 3 runs scored.

Three Stars

1.  Richard Bleier

2.  Jorge Saez

3.  Marcus Stroman
