Dunedin were the only winners on Saturday. KC Hobson drove in three of the Jays four runs. Dwight Smith, Dalton Pompey and Daniel Norris made good contributions to the win. Buffalo lost despite Dan Johnson's hitting. New Hampshire were shutout.

Lansing lost a wild one in extra innings low-lighted by bad defense. Five errors by the Lugnuts made for eight unearned runs.

Syracuse 6 Buffalo 3

Syracuse scored two off Kyle Drabek in the first and led 3-0 after five. Drabek was done after five, his ERA now is 4.45. Esmil Rogers followed Drabek and he punched out six in three innings. Rogers gave up a run on three hits with no walks.

Dan Johnson again led the Bisons offense, he was 2-3 with a double, a home run and a sac fly. AJ Jimenez had one hit, a double, and is now hitting .244 in AAA.



Erie 5 New Hampshire 0

The Erie starter pitched a complete game six hitter. All six hits were singles, two each by Jon Berti, Pierce Rankin and Jorge Flores.

Shawn Hill started for the Fisher Cats and all five runs were charged to him, he was done after 4.2 innings.



St Lucie 2 Dunedin 4

Daniel Norris had an OK start for Dunedin, he went five innings, put on six baserunners, four hits, two walks, was charged with both runs and had seven K's.

Dunedin used their stand-out top of the order to put up two runs in the first. Dwight Smith led of with a double and Dalton Pompey followed with a bunt single. Smith scored on a ground out and Pompey on a single by KC Hobson. After St Lucie tied the game Pompey tripled in the third. Marcus Knecht walked, then Hobson doubled in both runs giving him three RBI for the game. Smith, Pompey and Hobson had two hits each.



Great Lakes 12 Lansing 10 - 11 innings

Lansing had a five run lead after five innings, they lost that in the sixth. They had a one run lead headed to the ninth, the lost that. As mentioned eight runs were unearned on five errors, Derrick Loveless and Mitch Nay had two errors each. Matt Dermody started and was OK, five runs, three earned in five innings but only one K. Griffin Murphy blew his second save of the season and Scott Silverstein took the loss.

The Lugnuts did have seventeen hits. Dawel Lugo had three to run his average up to .300. LB Dantzler and Dickie Thon also had three hits. Matt Dean, Nay and Jason Leblebijian each had two.
