Andy Burns leads New Hampshire over Trenton

The affiliates were 3-4 on Sunday, with wins coming from Bluefield, Dunedin, and New Hampshire.  Andy Burns and Kevin Nolan each had great games for New Hampshire.  Kendall Graveman pitched 7 scoreless for Dunedin helping them to victory.

Buffalo 1 – Rochester 6

Deck McGuire had another disappointing start for Buffalo; today he allowed 6 earned runs over 5.1 innings, while giving up 3 HR.

The Bisons only had 2 hits, a single from Kevin Pillar, and a HR from AJ Jimenez.

 

Buffalo 1 – Rochester 6 (Make up of 4/5 PPD, 7 Innings)

Starter Raul Valdes gave up 6 runs over one inning pitched.  Mike Zagurski followed with 3 scoreless innings, and Ryan Tepera closed out with 2 scoreless innings pitched.

The Bisons had 8 hits, but the only run was scored when Kevin Pillar scored on a Dan Johnson single in the first.

 

Trenton 7 – New Hampshire 9 (10 Innings)

Scott Copeland started the game, and gave up 5 earned runs over 3 innings. 

Andy Burns had quite the game going 3-6, with a triple, and a HR, while scoring 4 runs.  Kevin Nolan had 4 hits, and Mike McDade hit his 5th HR of the season.

 

Tampa 0 – Dunedin 4

Kendall Graveman had a quality start pitching 6 scoreless innings.  Griffin Murphy made his first debut for Dunedin since his promotion from Lansing, and Arik Sikula closed the game out with his 18th save.

Santiago Nessy had 2 RBI, while Emilio Gurrero, and LB Dantzler contributed with a RBI.

 

Great Lakes 12 – Lansing 4

Chase De Jong had a quality start giving up one earned run over 5 innings, on 4 hits and 4 strikeouts.  The Lugnuts had a 4-2 lead heading into the top of the 8th inning before the bullpen fell apart.  Brady Dragmire allowed 6 runs (3 earned) in the 8th, and Adaric Kelly had an outing to forget as well as he gave up 4 earned runs in the 9th.

Mitch Nay was 3-5, with a walk, and Matt Dean hit his 5th HR of the season.

 

Vancouver 3 – Spokane 9

Zak Wasilewski had a disappointing start in which he allowed 7 earned runs over 3 innings pitched. 

The Canadians scored their 3 runs in the third inning off of 4 consecutive hits.  Roemon Fields, Franklin Barreto, and Ryan McBroom all had a double before eventually scoring later on in the inning.

 

Burlington 3 – Bluefield 8

Ryan Borucki had another decent start for Bluefield, in which he gave up 3 earned runs over 4 innings.  Evan Smith followed with 5 scoreless innings only allowing one hit with six strikeouts.

Trent Miller and Lydell Moseby each had a solo HR while having 2 RBI.  Rowdy Tellez had another disappointing day going 0-3, dropping his slash line for the year to 111/203/130 which gives him an OPS of 333 over 54 AB.
