Three affiliates were on the wrong side of blowouts, while three more were narrowly edged. Only Vancouver and Dunedin went home with something as the affiliates, overall, had a night to forget.

Indianapolis 6 Buffalo 4

The Bisons made four errors—three by Kevin Nolan—to run out losers in this one. Kevin Pillar homered, singled, and stole a base. His homerun tonight was his third in the last four games. Kyle Drabek was sadled with the loss.

Reading 6 New Hampshire 5

John Anderson allowed four earned runs in four and two thirds, while Andy Burns and Jack Murphy had three hits as the Phillies’ affiliate came from behind to top the Jays’ affiliate. Also, Dalton Pompey did not play.

Dunedin 4 St. Lucie 3

It seems this year Dunedin can always be counted on for a win when the affiliates are having a rough night and tonight was no different. Dunedin scored the winning run in the ninth on an error and Arik Sikula saved his 24th ballgame of the year. Pierce Rankin had three hits including a three run homerun in the third. Rankin also scored the go ahead run.

Dayton 8 Lansing 6

Jeremy Gabryszwski pitched just one inning tonight. He was tagged with two earned runs. Matt Dermody was tagged with four more. Derrick Loveless, Davel Lugo, and Matt Dean had two hits at the plate.

Vancouver 2 Boise 1

Miguel Castro was strong again, pitching five innings of one run ball. He walked three and struck out five. Newly promoted Gunnar Heidt had two doubles.

Bluefield 2 Bristol 12

Conner Greene, Carlos Ramirez, and J.T. Autrey got hit around. Richard Urena doubled, but kicked the ball around as well.

GCL Braves 12 GCL Blue Jays 2

Another blowout as Nick Wells struggled again to record outs. CF Juan Tejada had three hits.
