Daniel Norris continued his sensational season and Roberto Osuna had his most impressive start off TJ. Several prospects made their debuts tonight at new levels as the affiliates went 4-3.

Scranton W/B 1 Buffalo 5

My word Daniel Norris is something else. Nine more strikeouts tonight over a tidy five innings of work. Norris threw 48 strikes over his 79 pitches. His only hit allowed was a solo homerun. Dalton Pompey made his AAA debut and singled in four plate appearances. Anthony Gose had one of those nights fans have dreamt of him having at the big league level one day. He stole four bases, broke up a double play, and scored on a passed ball. Other notables include Ryan Goins who doubled twice.

New Hampshire 0 Trenton 3

Not enough offence to support starter Scott Copeland, who pitched six innings of three run baseball. The Fisher Cats collected just four hits, one of which was by newcomer Gus Pierre. Trenton starter Jaron Long had a perfect game into the sixth inning.

Lakeland 0 Dunedin 1

L.B. Dantzler drove in Emilio Guerrero in the tenth inning as the Dunedin squad snuck by the Tigers’ affiliate. Tonight was also Roberto Osuna’s best start coming off TJ. He pitched four innings of shutout baseball, striking out five while allowing just three hits.

South Bend 2 Lansing 0

Jeremy Gabryszwski was tagged with the five inning complete game loss in tonight’s rain shortened game. Gabryszwski allowed just two earned runs on six hits, striking out three in the process. Five innings was not enough for Lansing as they failed to must much offence. Recently promoted Rowdy Tellez collected a hit in two plate appearances.

Boise 7 Vancouver 5

Blame Vancouver for the lateness of this MLU. Vancouver played well into the night eventually falling to a two-run double in the 13th. Alberto Tirado tallied seven strikeouts in three and two-thirds innings of work. That’s pretty electric. Franklin Barreto had two hits. Richard Urena went hitless on his Vancouver debut.

Kingsport v Bluefield POSTPONED RAIN

GCL Yankees2 2 GCL Blue Jays 8

Let’s get a scouting report on Angel Perdomo. He’s 20 in the GCL, sure. But, he’s also 6’6 from the left side with some nice numbers. Tonight he pitched four shutout innings and struck out six. Deiferson Barreto hit his way aboard three times, including a homerun. While Juan Kelly and Yeltsin Gudino hit their way aboard twice.
