On Sunday the affiliates were 2-3, with the wins coming from the affiliates heading to the playoffs in Vancouver, and Dunedin.  With the Canadians win, they qualified for the playoffs which start on Tuesday versus Spokane. Buffalo unfortunately was eliminated from the wild-card race, with a loss.

Buffalo 3 – Syracuse 4

Down 3-2 heading into the top of the 9th, Cole Gillepsie scored on a Matt Hague single to keep the Bisons faint playoff hopes alive.  Unfortunately in the top of the 9th, Matt Hynes allowed a home run to Destin Hood, which ended the game and the Bisons playoff chances.

New Hampshire 3 – New Britain 6

Ben White got the start, and pitched 4.2 innings allowing 4 earned runs.

The Fisher-Cats scored 2 runs in the 5th, and one in the 8th.  Four of the Fisher Cats 8 hits were doubles which came from Matt Newman, Andy Burns, Melky Mesa and Derrick Chung.

Dunedin 7 – Brevard County 3

Roberto Osuna had a short and successful outing, pitching 2 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits, with a walk, and 3 strikeouts.

LB Dantzler went 2-5, with a double, and a HR while scoring 2 runs.  Marcus Knecht had 2 hits, while driving in 2 runs, with 2 RBI.

South Bend 11 – Lansing 7

Rowdy Tellez was 1-3, while scoring a run, with 2 walks, and a RBI.  Jason Leblebijian was 2-5, with 3 runs scored.

Jeremy Gabryszwski was victimized by poor Lugnuts Defense, as he had a line of 3.2IP 6H 7R 1ER 3BB 4SO.  After being practically unhittable in Bluefield, Chase Wellbrock had a rough outing for Lansing, allowing 4 earned over 4ip.

Spokane 3 – Vancouver 5

Vancouver scored 2 runs in the 3rd and 3 runs in the 6th.

Matthew Smoral pitched 5 innings allowing 2 earned runs, 3 hits, with 5 walks, and 5 strikeouts.

Three Stars
