Former Blue Jays Still Playing in 2015

Plenty of former players that were drafted and/or signed by the Blue Jays are still playing across different baseball organizations in 2015. I've listed some of the notable former Jays that are still playing today in the minor leagues hoping to make it to the majors again or for the first time.

Brian Jeroloman is giving the Eastern League a 7th go around, some of the original Lansing 3 are still playing together but in a different organization, Balbino is succeeding in AA after being given another chance and Eric Thames continues to succeed overseas. Also it appears that a former outfielder is heading to the NFL in 2015.

It appears that former Jays draftee Eric Eiland (2007 2nd round) is heading to the NFL. After being released by the Jays in 2010, Eric played football at the University of Houston (2012-2014). He recently left the school in February to pursue NFL opportunities.

Very interesting. Thanks for this. I suppose every team has some notable draft misfires. I remember when Deck was taken the explanation was that while he may not become a star he was virtually certain to quickly get to MLB. Well, he's still just 25, I see.

Fun to look at. Always wonder whatever happened to... and seeing some still kicking chasing the dream is fun. Had to check Adam Loewen - 1.54 ERA in 7 relief games in AAA 11 2/3 IP 10 H 2 R/ER 16 BB vs 7 SO. Ouch. ERA is good but those walks...must be driving his manager nuts. Last 3 games were 5-2-4 walks the 4 walks without getting a single out.

I am surprised to see Balbino doing so well, he took a long time to get it together.

Other than Nicolino, these players are org fillers at this point. I don't know if any of them will reach the majors this year, the exceptions being Nicolino or Daniel Webb.

Eric Thames must be a god in Korea with those numbers.

Bit suprised with how slow the Astros have been with Musgrove, he has put up some pretty decent numbers, I guess the Astros don't think much of him.

And wow, the Jays gave Comer nearly 3 million, and he is still in low A.
