There were lots of good performances on the farm on Saturday. On the rubber, Miguel Castro, Matt Boyd and Shane Dawson pitched well. For the hitters, Matt Hague, Dwight Smith and Richard Urena each had three hits.

Buffalo won 12-4 with 8 runs in the last two innings. Miguel Castro went five innings, he gave up a run in the first but it was unearned due to a passed ball. He hit a batter and allowed a single in the second inning but then over his last three innings he conceded one walk and one hit. Five of his last six outs cam via a K. He ended with six K's.

Matt Hague went 3-5 with three doubles and five RBI. Could Hague be another Colabello? He is hitting .356 in AAA. Will he ever get a shot? Jose Reyes was 2-4 and played seven innings at short. AJ Jimenez also had two hits as he stays hot.

New Hampshire won 4-1. The story was Matt Boyd who went seven innings and lowered his ERA to 1.05. Boyd has now pitched 51 innings and he has only allowed 30 hits with 56 K's. His command has improved and he must be close to a AAA audition.

Dwight Smith had three hits to get his BA back up to .300.

Dunedin lost big, 14-2. All four Jays pitchers were scored on, Luis Santos and Brady Dragmire took most of the damage.

Roemen Fields had two hits. Fields batting average is improving, he is hitting .279 in May, but he has only two extra base hits out of 24 hits. Fields steal rate is right on 70%, 22 attempts, 15 steals. Maicer Izturis played short and went 0-2.

Lansing won 10-1. The Lugnuts are the second highest scoring team in the MWL. Richard Urena had three hits including his sixth home run. Urena has one more home run than Rowdy Tellez. Urena is hitting .250, good for a 19 year old in a full season league. Similar to last year Urena is hitting much better from the left side and under .200 from the right. Anthony Alford had two more hits and two walks, his OPS is 882 and he is probably a few weeks away from Dunedin. Alford is 20 years old and will turn 21 in July.

Shane Dawson pitched 6.2 innings, gave up one run and lowered his ERA to 2.93. Dawson had a better April than May, this start was the best of his last four.
