If at first you don't succeed...

Lineups:

Revere, lf       DeShields, cf
Donaldson, 3b  Choo, rf
Bautista, rf  Fielder, dh
Encarnacion, dh  Moreland, 1b
Tulowitzki, ss  Andrus, ss
Colabello, 1b  Hamilton, lf
Martin, c  Odor, 2b
Pillar, cf  Gimenez, c
Goins, 2b  Alberto, 3b
Stroman, p  Hamels, p

As you can see, Adrian Beltre is out of the Texas lineup, which is a shame. He's a Hall of Famer and he ought to be there. It's not exactly bad news for Toronto. Cole Hamels has not fared very well against the Blue Jays (0-2, 6.97) in four career starts, all of which came while he was with the Phillies. Hamels had a no-decision in a 6-5 Phillies loss the last time he faced Toronto, in May 2014. Meanwhile, Marcus Stroman beat Texas the only time he faced them, tossing seven scoreless innings back in July 2014.

Instant karma will get someone this afternoon. John Lennon would be 75 years old today,  which seems inconceivable somehow. Even for those of us old enough to remember, he's been gone longer than he was around. The Blue Jays are 2-1 in games played on Lennon's birthday. We all shine on.
