Buffalo and Lansing had good come from behind wins. Buffalo came from behind twice in the last two innings. Melky Mesa had the game winning hit but Darrell Ceciliani had the game tying home run. Conor Panas also hit a game tying home run before Lansing went ahead.

New Hampshire, Dunedin and Bluefield had big wins. Dwight Smith hit home runs in back to back innings, including a grand slam. In Dunedin's game Emilio Guerrero had a two run sac fly, Anthony Alford scored from second.

Vancouver and the GCL Jays lost badly. But many prospects had good days, read the whole thing!

Buffalo 4 Louisville 3

Things looked grim for the Bisons after seven innings, they trailed 2-0 and had just two hits in the game. In the eighth Domonic Brown singled and David Adams walked. With two outs Casey Kotchman pinch hit and he delivered, doubling in both runners to tie the game. Colt Hynes came on for the eighth and surrendered a home run to put the Bisons down 3-2. In the ninth Darrell Ceciliani led off with a solo home run to tie the game. Matt Dominguez then singled, Jesus Montero doubled to put both runners on. Melky Mesa singled to deliver the coup de gras. Aaron Loup came on for the save, gave up a one out double to got the save.

Ceciliani and Mesa led the offense with two hits. Scott Diamond started and gave up two first inning runs. Diamond went seven innings to keep the Bisons in the game.


Hartford 3 New Hampshire 14

Dwight Smith had a game, two home runs, six RBI. He hit a grand slam as part of a six run seventh and a two run shot in the eighth. Rowdy Tellez started the scoring with a solo home run in the second. He finished with two hits. Jorge Flores also had two hits including a three run double. Christian Lopes had three hits with two doubles. Jason Leblebijian also had two hits.

Luis Santos went seven innings for the win. He gave up two runs on seven hits. Matt Dermody and Wil Browning finished up.


Dunedin 8 Clearwater 1

The Jays scored four runs in the third inning. Three singles, two hit batters and a walk led to the runs. The Jays added two more in the fifth inning. They loaded the bases with Emilio Guerrero up. Guerrero hit a fly ball to left and both Josh Almonte, from third, and Anthony Alford, from second, scored on the double sac fly. Mike Reeves hit a two run home run in the eighth. Almonte, Urena and Ryan McBroom each had two hits. Alford was 1-2 with two walks and a hit by pitch.

Francisco Rios had no strikeouts in his last start, he picked up four on Wednesday. Rios went six innings and did give up the only run on four hits. Adonys Cardona pitched one inning and Brad Allen two in relief.


Lansing 2 Great Lakes 1

Lansing trailed 1-0 after six innings. Conor Panas, from Toronto, led off the seventh with a solo home run, his fourth in consecutive games. That tied the game. Ryan Hissey singled and scored on a double by JC Cardenas for the go-ahead run. Hissey, Cardenas and Jake Thomas each had two hits. Max Pentecosts on base streak came to an end.

Jordan Romano, from Markham, had a little trouble with balls and strikes but he hung in through 4.1 innings. Romano had six K's and two walks. Nate Abel pitched 2.2 excellent, no-hit, innings. Starlyn Suriel pitched the last two innings for the save.


Vancouver 1 Tri-City 10

Ugly with a capital U. Just three hits for the Canadians. That just exceeded their number of errors, two. Several pitchers were hit around. Juliandry Higuera started and his line looks decent in comparison, two runs conceded in four innings. Matt Smoral and Gabe Noyalis each surrendered three runs in an inning. They eached walked three hitters. stuart Holmes conceded the other two runs but in his case they were unearned, but he walked two hitters to join the party.


Kingsport 2 Bluefield 5

The Jays were outhit 9-6 and the Jays made three errors but they still won. Jesus Severino struck out to start the third inning but reached on a passed ball. A ground out and another passed ball moved Severino to third. Edward Olivares doubled to score Severino. Levi Scott hit a solo home run to lead off the sixth. The Jays loaded the bases and then got two runs on a hit batter and a walk. The Mets helped the Jays in the eighth. Severino was hit by a pitch, moved up on a wild pitch and scored when Juandy Mendoza doubled.

The Jays used four pitchers. Luke Gillingham started and went 2.2 innings. Osman Gutierrez went five innings. He had just one K but ten ground ball outs to one fly ball.


GCL Tigers East 9 GCL Blue Jays 1

The shellac was ready for this game. Freddy Rodriguez singled to lead off the bottom of the first for the Jays. Bo Bichette then doubled him home. and that was it for Blue Jays hits. Two in the game, both before an out was recorded.

Maximo Castillo and Juan Meza took it on the chin. Castillo went two innings and gave up five runs on six hits. Meza went 2.2 and was charged with four runs on seven hits.
