The affiliates enjoyed a 5-2 night on the farm Tuesday with all non-Blue Jay nicknamed teams finding the win column, save for Lansing as they had the night off. Against non-Pirate teams, the affiliates were 5-0.

Buffalo 3 Norfolk 2

Buffalo, NY
- The Herd scored all of their runs in the first two innings and that was just enough to get by the Orioles affiliate. Dalton Pompey got things rolling with a single and moved to second on a bunt single by Ryan Goins. Pompey then would steal third before coming home on a Chris Colabello sacrifice fly. Matt Dominguez and Casey Kotchman began the second with back-to-back walks and they would score on a David Adams single and a Pompey fielder's choice respectively. Pompey had two of Buffalo's five hits. Kotchman added another. Colabello had a base on balls but Jesus Montero and Darrell Ceciliani were a combined 0-for-8.

Former Ottawa Champion Wilmer Font (1-2, 5.28) was the champ in this one, surrendering just a first-inning run and scattering four hits and a walk in 5-2/3 innings. His strikeout, groundout and flyout totals were five apiece. Font threw 61 of 82 pitches for strikes and earned a Game Score of 66. Chad Girodo struck out the only batter he faced to close out the sixth. Franklin Morales gave up a run on two hits but struck out one in the seventh. Ryan Tepera tossed two innings of one-hit ball, striking out three to pick up his 14th save.

New Hampshire 7 Reading 5

Manchester, NH
- New Hampshire matched a four-run outburst by the Phillies affiliate in the top of the fifth with four of their own in the bottom half of the inning to pull out the victory. Christian Lopes sparked all three rallies in this one, drawing a walk in the fifth and later scoring on a base hit by Jason Leblebijian. Ryan Lavarnway would drive home two with a double and scored on an Emilio Guerrero base rap. Lopes doubled in the sixth, went to third on an errant pickoff throw and scored the insurance run on a passed ball. The Fisher Cats broke out on top when Lopes singled, stole second and scored on a Leblebijian single in the first. Roemon Fields followed Lopes with a walk and would step on home plate after Dwight Smith Jr. grounded into a double play to put the Cats up 2-0. Smith did join the two-hit club with Lopes and Leblebijian. Lavarnway had three walks to go with his double while Fields singled and walked twice. Fields stole two bases to reach 30 on the season while Lopes swiped one. Jorge Flores was 0-for-4.

Taylor Cole
(2-2, 4.13) was trumped for five runs on seven hits and three walks but he struck out seven over six innings. Six of his eight outs in play were on the ground. Tim Mayza got the hold with two shutout innings of one-hit ball while striking out two. Chris Smith walked one in the ninth but still earned his fifth save.

Dunedin 2 Charlotte 0

Dunedin, FL
- Sean Reid-Foley (5-0, 1.88) set the tone in this one by striking out the side in the first inning and set down the first seven hitters he faced. The Stone Crabs only chance to score came in the third when they managed to load the bases on a single and two walks. All Reid-Foley did was strike out the side to end that threat and he went on to retire the last 10 hitters in a row, striking out the side again in the sixth. He struck out 10 and recorded all five outs in play on the ground to earn a Game Score of 80. Adonys Cardona worked around two walks in the sixth and Dusty Isaacs got the last six outs, offsetting two hits with two K's for his first save.

The Jays had just four hits but still manage to scratch out a couple of runs to beat the Rays affiliate. Danny Jansen was plunked by a pitch in the second and would score on a Josh Almonte sacrifce fly. Anthony Alford worked a leadoff walk in the fourth and would score on a J.D. Davis double play grounder. Alford and Dickie Joe Thon both a single, two walks and a stolen base. Richard Urena heard ball four twice. Mike Reeves had a knock and a walk. Ryan McBroom also had a single.

Vancouver 1 Spokane 0

Rodrigo Orozco
drove in the winning run with a double Monday night.

Spokane, WA
- The Canadians ended a two-game skid and got back to the .500 mark to keep their first-half playoff hopes alive. The C's got on the board in the sixth when Javier Hernandez walked and scored on a two-out Rodrigo Orozco double. Orozco and Lance Jones were on base three times with two hits and a walk. Cavan Biggio singled and walked while Hernandez had two free passes. J.B. Woodman and Christian Williams were both 0-for-4 with Williams getting the golden sombrero.

Griffin Glaude got his first victory of the year with three shutout innings of relief.

Luis Sanchez lasted four innings against the Rangers affiliate and surrendered just two hits and a hit by pitch while striking out six. And then there's that uncompromisin', enterprisin', anything but tranqulizin' Griffin Glaude (1-1), who gave up just one hit and struck out three over three shutout innings. Evan Smith struck out two with just one hit allowed in the eighth. Jackson McClelland put together a one-hit ninth for his first save.

Bristol 3 Bluefield 0

Bristol, VA
- A leadoff walk in the fifth came around to score against Juliandry Higuera (0-1, 1.50) and that was all the Pirates would need to beat the scuffling Bluef-Jays. The walk was advanced to second on a wild pitch before scoring on a double. Higuera, recently demoted from Vancouver, lasted six innings and gave up four hits and three walks. He had a Game Score of 65 after striking out six and inducing five outs on the ground. Connor Eller surrendered two unearned runs in the eighth on one hit while whiffing two over his two-inning stint. Bluefield made four errors, three of them coming in the eighth, including one from Eller himself. The middle infield duo of Nash Knight and Jesus Severino committed the other clanks.

Two doubles by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and two singles by Kalik May was all Bluefield could manage. They had a chance to score in their first at-bat when May singled and went to third on a Guerrero double. However, Vladdy was thrown out at third on the play to short-circuit that rally. VGJ would double again in the fourth and got to third safely this time on a passed ball but he would be stranded there. May added another base hit in the sixth and got to second on a wild pitch but he would advance no further. May also earned two assists in left field on plays at home and at third. Reggie Pruitt was 0-for-4 at the top of the order.

GCL Pirates 11 GCL Blue Jays 1

Bradenton, FL
- The Bucs broke the goose egg in the fifth and put up a touchdown with a two-point conversion in the sixth to run away with this one. Wilfri Aleton (1-1, 2.08) gave up five runs over five-plus innings but four of the runs were unearned. He allowed three hits and struck out four. William Ouellette was walloped for four more runs on four hits and a walk in the sixth. Juan Meza gave up two more runs (one earned) on three hits over two innings.

The Jays avoided the shutout in the ninth when Alfredo Bohorquez walked and scored on a David Jacob double. Jacob had two doubles and Norberto Obeso had one. Antony Fuentes had a triple while Kevin Vicuna and Joshua Palacios had singles.

DSL Blue Jays 6 DSL Reds 3 (11 Innings)

Boca Chica, DR
- The Jays tied the game with three runs in the seventh and won it with three more in the eleventh (rhyme!). Back-to-back doubles by Antonio Concepion and McGregory Contreras produced the winning run before three wild pitches provided the insurance runs. In the seventh, an Anderson Green RBI groundout started the comeback before Jose Briceno belted a two-run homer. Contreras, Luis De Los Santos, Yhordegny Kelly and Jose Theran all had two-hit games.

Meliton Reyes made it through five innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. He struck out four and all but one of his 11 outs in play remained on the diamond. Adams Cuevas (3-0) pitched the final six frames and allowed just two hits and a plunk while striking out six. All nine outs in play were on the dirt.
