The GCL Jays had the bats working and the pitching was good enough for the first seven innings to get the win. Buffalo singled their way to a win. Conner Greene had a bad day and New Hampshire took it on the chin. Lansing lost in extras. Vancouver lost many runners on the bases and, as a result, lost the game.

Dunedin only played an inning and a half before the rains came. Bluefield had the night off.

Rochester 3 Buffalo 4

Buffalo singled their way to the win over Rochester. the Bisons scored two runs in the third inning built around three singles with a sac bunt and an RBI ground out added in. In the next inning the first four hitters singled leading to two more runs. In those two innings seven singles created all four runs. In total Buffalo had 11 hits. Jesus Montero, Chris Colabello, Domonic Brown and Casey Kotchman each had two hits. Despite his hits Colabello is still hitting under 200. Dalton Pompey was 1-4.

Mike Bolsinger started and went six innings. He conceded all three runs via two home runs. Matt Dermody pitched the seventh and Danny Barnes got the last six outs, four via the K.

Binghamton 9 New Hampshire 1

Conner Greene was excellent last time out. That didn't last long as Greene did not retire any of the first five hitters. Three singles and two walks led to four runs. Greene settled down somewhat after that until the fifth inning. Greene got to two outs in the fifth with one runner on. He lost the zone a bit and walked two to load the bases. That was followed by two singles and three more runs in. In total Greene was charged with seven runs. Colton Turner and Wil Browning pitched a couple of innings each and one run allowed each.

The Fisher Cats did have ten hits and left 12 men on base. All ten hits were singles. Ian Parmley had three hits, Jason Leblebijian two. Rowdy Tellez was 1-5 with 3 K's, Richard Urena 0-4 with two K's.

Daytona at Dunedin

This game was suspended in the middle of the second inning with Daytona leading 2-0. Justin Shafer started for the Jays.

Great Lakes 3 Lansing 2 - 11 innings

Andrew Case took the loss by conceding a run in the top of the eleventh. Lansing were outhit 10-4 and were helped by Great Lakes going 1-14 with RISP. Josh DeGraaf had a decent start. In 5.1 innings he gave up one earned run, two in total, on four hits. Kirby Snead and Jackson Lowery provided shutdown relief until Case conceded.

One of the four hits was a home run by Justin Atkinson. Juan Kelly singled and scored the other run.

Spokane 4 Vancouver 2

Vancouver outhit Spokane 14-9 but lost a lot of runners on the base paths. The Jays loaded the bases in the second inning but Rodrigo Orozco flew into a DP with Christian Williams thrown out at home. In the third Cavan Biggio was doubled off second after a fly ball. In the sixth Nash Knight was picked off at second base. That left the base open for Biggio to steal and he was thrown out. The eighth inning ended with Andres Sotillo thrown out at home. That is a lot of outs on the bases for a two run game. Five hitters had two hits. Josh Palacios stayed hot with two more hits. Orozco, Biggio, Williams and Bryan Lizardo were the others with two hits. JB Woodman added a home run.

Nate Abel made the start and went four innings. Evan Smith followed, gave up two runs, and took the loss. Zach Jackson gave up the fourth run.

The twin 17 year old tandem did a good job on the mound. Travis Hosterman started, went four innings, and only allowed two hits and an unearned run. Josh Winckowski followed and gave up two runs in three innings. Mitch McKown and Juan Meza were both hit around a bit.
