As Gerry reported in the previous thread, one-time Chicago Cubs phenom Corey Patterson has inked a minor league contract with the Blue Jays.



Patterson retreats to second base after a foul ball during first inning action between the Orioles and Jays at the Dome May 30th.

The last extra-innings game of the year at the Dome resulted in a walk-off win for the home side.



Ricky Romero warms up on the mound while third baseman Edwin Encarnacion reaches for the rosin bag.  Romero did not have his best outing of the season as he gave up three runs on five hits and five walks over five innings but he kept the O's in check after giving up all three of his runs in the second inning.

Kyle Drabek will be featured on the cover of Baseball America's American League East issue in which the top 10 prospects for each team in the division are profiled.  To mark the occasion, here are photos of his debut in Toronto September 22nd.

The 2010 off-season for the Blue Jays has begun with infielder Jarrett Hoffpauir being claimed on waivers by the San Diego Padres.  The POTD captures the Mississippi native against his former team, the St. Louis Cardinals, during interleague play at the Rogers Centre earlier this season.

The Blue Jays handed out the Webster Awards on Saturday at the RC.  Prior to the game, in an on-field ceremony, the award winners received a plaque to recognize their achievements.  The Webster Awards are an MVP-type award for the minor leagues.

Here's a look back at the Jays series opening win over the Texas Rangers at the Dome on Labour Day Monday.

The POTD focuses on Kyle Drabek and his Cy Young Award winning father.  They were spotlighted on JaysVision in between innings of Thursday's game against Texas.

This game featured the debut of Mississauga's Shawn Hill in a Toronto uniform and the 2010 return of Robert 'Bobby' Ray to the hill.  Hopefully, this will be the first of many POTD's in the coming days as the 2010 campaign winds down.

While I was in Auburn I took video of some of the hitters.  It is easy to get good video of a pitcher, you know when they are going to throw a pitch.  But you don't know if, or when, a hitter will hit.  You could tape the whole game but that means you will not be really watching the game.  So I tried the get video of some hitters, sometimes they hit the ball well, as Marcus Knecht did, and sometimes they hit into a double play, like Carlos Perez did.
