Gunnar Heidt crosses home plate after the double by Justin Atkinson that also scored Andrew Guillotte. The C's would score three more times in the third on a Sean Hurley single, a Carl Wise groundout and an Earl Burl III double in the third to lead 7-0. Heidt would add an RBI groundout to score another run in the fourth.

Francisco Rios took care of things the rest of the way by tossing six shutout frames of five-hit ball, striking out two and walking nobody for his first win of the season.

Take a bow, San Diego Chicken!! The C's win their fifth game in their last six with a 8-0 victory over Eugene to improve to 13-19 on the season.
