NOTES

Rafael Lantigua, Yohendrick Pinango and Josh Rivera homered for Buffalo.

Chad Dallas pitched well , albeit for just 3.1 innings and 58 pitches. He did not allow a run or walk anyone while striking out two.

In NH, Eddie Micheletti homered for the second game in a row. The Fisher Cats had just three hits but that was enough for the win.

Richard Gallardo, a minor league rule 5 pick, threw four shutout innings with four K's. Alex Amalfi followed and went 3.2 innings with four K's. Caleb Freeman had a wild ride. He came on with two outs in the eighth with the Cats leading 2-0. The first two hitters he faced doubled making it 2-1. A wild pitch moved the tying run to third but he struck out the batter to escape. Then in the ninth he gave up a one out triple, walked two more to load the bases but once again escaped to pick up a dubious save.

Vancouver were shutout with five hits. The only hitter with two hits was Mathieu Vallee from Saint Eustache Quebec. He signed with the Jays as a free agent in February.

Daniel Guerra started for Vancouver and struck out six in 4.1 innings while conceding one run, the only run of the game. Danny Thompson Jr followed, 8th round pick last season, and he struck out five in 3.1 innings.

Patrick Corbin started in game one for Dunedin but he was overshadowed by Yorman Licourt who homered in his first two at-bats of the season. The 22 year old Cuban hit seven homers last season between the FCL and Dunedin. Trace Baker, 13th round pick last year, pitched the final two innings with four K's.

In game two Licourt was 0-2 and was walked three times. Jojo Parker pickup his first pro hit. Between the two games he was 1-6 with three walks. He did not strikeout which was promising and two of his outs were hit at 104 and 107 mph.

Nolan Perry started game two on his return from TJ surgery. He threw 58 pitches over 3.2 innings with four K's. Perry used four pitches with is FB averaging 94 mph. Karson Ligon, 9th round pick last season, struck out eight over four innings with a FB that averaged 96 mph.
