NOTES

Rain shortened the Buffalo game to 4.5 innings. Josh Rivera and Jevon Ward homered in the second inning and those two runs were enough for the win. Ward's homer was his second in as many days. Josh Fleming had another good start, five shutout innings, four K's and like last time no fly ball outs.

New Hampshire did not have any good pitching in their game, not a surprise when you give up 20 runs. Jackson Wentworth needed 38 pitches to get through the first inning. He wasn't helped by Arjun Nimmala's first error in AA. That number of pitches meant he didn't come out for the second leading to a parade of ineffectual bullpen arms. They didn't even use an position player to pitch.

On the offensive side they had four hits, just ahead of their three errors.

Landen Maroudis' first pitch of Vancouver's first game ended up over the fence. That was followed by two singles but Maroudis buckled down to get out of the inning. However that was just the start of a bad day for Landen. He did pitch into the fourth inning but was charged with six runs on eight hits. That was his worst start of the season. Tucker Toman had two hits and three RBI.

In the second game Gilberto Batista started and gave up two runs in four innings. Like other games the bullpen let in four more runs.

The C's had five hits in game two, Matt Scannell hit his first home run.

The Dunedin game followed a familiar theme. Dylan Watts started and was charged with three runs in three innings. The bullpen tacked on seven more runs.

The D Jays did have 12 hits. Blaine Bullard had two to continue his recent upward trend. Eric Snow, Aldo Gaxiola and David Beckles also had two hits each.

The FCL Jays led the Yankees 6-0 with just three out to get. Unfortunately for the Jays the Yankees tied the game and we were off to extra innings. In extra's Canada's Tim Piasentin doubled in a run and Canada's Owen Gregg tripled in three more. That was enough of a margin for the Jays not to blow it twice. Another Canadian, Sam White, who homered twice yesterday, doubled and singled to boost his average to .357.

The Jays had some good pitching early in the game. Seojun Moon made his second start and it went well just like his first. Moon went two shutout innings with three K's. And just like his last time out Miguel Pantoja followed him and he threw three shutout innings. Pantoja has made three appearances this season, ten innings, fifteen K's, three hits and five walks. They make a good partnership.
