Notes

The Bisons let one slip away in the ninth when a one-run lead turned into a walkoff one-run loss. CJ Van Eyk kept the WooSox off the board until a game-tying triple and a wild pitch that brought in the winning run. He gave up two hits and one walk while striking out four in 4⅔ innings of relief. Opener Lazaro Estrada walked three and whiffed three over 2⅓ innings in which he allowed an unearned run. Brendon Little entered the game with the bases loaded and stranded two of the runners while striking out one over 1⅔ innings. Josh Kasevich had two doubles and drove in a run. RJ Schreck had an RBI single and walked. Davis Schneider walked three times and was hit by a pitch.

The Fisher Cats also lost a tough one thanks to a six-run ninth inning to wipe out a one-run lead. Sam Gardner, a recent signing from the Milwaukee organization-was charged with all six runs (five earned) and recorded just one out. Aaron Munson got the final two outs but not before allowing two inherited runners to score, courtesy of a fielder's choice and a wild pitch. Gage Stanifer had one of his better outings with five innings of two-run ball on four hits and two walks while racking up eight strikeouts. Kai Peterson fanned three over two shutout innings of one-hit ball and Yondrei Rojas put up a goose egg on one hit while fanning one. Jace Bohrofen and Sean Keys homered and Nick Goodwin singled in a run. Jay Harry tripled and scored on Goodwin's single and Aaron Parker doubled.

Carter Cunningham had a two-run single to open the scoring for Vancouver in the third. That lead did not last long as Landen Maroudis gave up three runs and did not get out of the third inning after facing the minimum over the first two frames. A triple, a home run, a single and two walks over 2⅔ innings led to Maroudis exiting the game for Gilberto Batista. He was bombed for five runs in 4⅓ innings on nine hits, including a homer. He walked one and struck out three. Jay Schueler pitched a shutout eighth, offsetting a walk with a strikeout. Maddox Latta had three hits in the leadoff spot. Cunningham also had a double for a two-hit night and stole a base. Hayden Gilliland walked twice and had a sacrifice fly. Jacob Sharp singled and swiped a bag.

Silvano Hechavarría needed 84 pitches to complete three innings in which he surrendered four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two to take the loss. Bradley Wilson, a recent signing by the Jays from East Carolina where he was teammates with Trey Yesavage and Carter Cunningham, gave up two runs in 2⅓ innings on two hits and four walks but struck out six. Juan Sánchez broke out with a big game by homering twice, driving in three runs, while drawing a walk. Eric Snow hit his first professional homer in the ninth. Blaine Bullard and Adam Hackenberg had two hits apiece with Hackenberg getting a double while Sam Shaw tripled and walked. Jake Cook was 0-for-5 and struck out three times and JoJo Parker was 0-for-4 with a K.

The F-Jays did not come through in six at-bats with runners in scoring position and four men were stranded on the bags. Rehabbing Cade Doughty socked a home run in the first inning. A Kennew Blanco fielder's choice RBI and a double steal by Blanco of second base and Andrés Arias of home produced the other run. Arias had two stolen bases. Carson Messina allowed just two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts over four shutout stanzas. All four outs in play were on the ground. Mason Davenport was tagged with the blown save and the loss with a run allowed despite striking out three over 1⅔ innings.

The DSL Blue team was just 1-for-14 runners in scoring position and left eight men on base. One run came on a double play and another on a wild pitch but that was enough for the win. Isay Veras had two hits and Cristopher Polanco added a double. José Andrades scattered three hits, struck out four and got seven ground ball outs over five shutout frames. Elian Guzman blew the save but got the win with two innings of one-run ball and four Ks.

The DSL Red squad went 0-for-11 with RISP with 10 LOB and left 10 men on base. Gabriel Porras singled and drew two free passes and Elaineker Coronado singled and walked. Frelian Flores had a single and a walk and had to face one batter on the mound after starting in left field. He retired the batter and stranded a runner and was the only one of the five hurlers not to give up a run.
