Keys Drives Herd to Victory

Buffalo, New Hampshire and Dunedin were victorious. Vancouver lost a slugfest, the FCL were hammered and the DSL squads suffered one-run losses for a losing Tuesday on the farm.

Notes

Jonatan Clase, Josh Kasevich and Sean Keys all had two hits at the top of the order with Clase and Keys going deep. Clase stole a base and Keys drew two walks while CJ Stubbs homered and drew two walks. Lazaro Estrada allowed two runs on four homers, including a dinger while striking out two over 2⅔ innings. Yimi Garcia struck out the side in his one inning of work and wound up getting the win.

Danny Thompson Jr. pitched four no-hit innings in his Double-A debut, walking one, plunking one and striking out three. Alex Amalfi got the win, allowing a solo homer and and a walk over four innings and rung up five. Javen Coleman worked around two hits and a walk with two whiffs to record the save. Aaron Parker and Hedbert Perez homered and Carter Cunningham had an RBI double as part of a two-hit, one walk effort.

Nolan Perry was punked for five runs in 2⅓ on six hits, including a homer, while walking one and striking out two. Jack Nedrow gave up two jacks and five runs total but fanned five in three innings. Reece Wissinger and Jay Schueler surrendered two runs apiece. Sam Shaw and Matt Scannell both hit three-run homers with Scannell pinch-hitting for Alexis Hernández. Maddox Latta, Edward Duran, Kendry Chirinos and Manny Beltre all had two hits apiece. Northwest League Player of the Week Tucker Toman had a single in five at-bats.

Troy Guthrie gave up just one run on four hits and a walk and struck out four. The win went to Angel Obando despite blowing a save after giving up three runs in the seventh. Franly Urena struck out two over two hitless innings for the save. Dariel Ramon and WIll Creswell had two hits apiece. Aldo Gaxiola homered and Jake Casey had a hit and two RBI. Jake Cook singled and Blaine Bullard had an RBI double and stole a base. JoJo Parker and Juan Sánchez were 0-for-4 with Parker whiffing one and Sánchez donning the golden sombrero.

Rehabbing Ricky Tiedemann took the loss after opening the game, allowing a run on two hits but struck out two in his lone inning of work. Giaconino Lasaracina had a homer and a double.

In the DSL, Michael Mesa was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI while Cristopher Polanco had two hits, a walk, a run batted in and a stolen base. Alex LInares had a double and a walk. Gabriel Porras drew a walk.
