NOTES
Shane Bieber, on rehab, put the Bisons in a 5-0 hole continuing a general pattern of rehabbers not performing well. The Bisons only had six hits, Sean Keys homered while Willie MacIver had two hits.
New Hampshire parlayed nine hits, seven walks and two Binghamton errors into five runs. Dub Gleed was the only hitter with two hits and the only hitter with a home run. It was his first HR for NH. Carter Cunningham had a hit and three walks. In his brief time in AA he is hitting .323 with an OPS over 1.000. On the bad news side, Adrian Pinto had to leave the game in the first inning after he stole a base.
Jackson Wentworth started and went five innings. The Mets scored four runs on eight hits.
Vancouver took a one run lead to the ninth but Spokane tied the game and won it in the tenth. Johnny King started and the first inning started single, double, walk, double and the C's were down 2-0. King faced one over the minimum from there through four innings until the lead off hitter in the fifth hit a home run. King finished the inning, his final line was five innings, six hits, three runs, seven K's.
The C's scored five runs with five hits. Three home runs helped, Peyton Williams, Eric Snow and Sam Shaw all homered. Tucker Toman and Maddox Latta doubled meaning the C's had no singles in the game.
Dunedin's three hot shot young hitters, Parker, Sanchez and Bullard, combined for eight hits, seven runs scored and six RBI's. Jojo Parker hit his fifth home run and added a double and a walk. Blaine Bullard had three hits, one a triple and Juan Sanchez had three singles.
Carson Messina made the start and was charged with three runs in 3.1 innings. Messina struck out four. We have to remember that Messina has very little pro experience. He had a total of twenty pro innings coming into this game. I say this because all four hits he allowed and the three runs all came with two outs in an inning.
Earlier this week the Jays picked up Denis Samudio in the Connor Seabold trade. Samudio made his debut and went four innings with seven K's. However Lakeland got to him for two home runs.
