NOTES

It was a tough day for Buffalo, they were down 5-0 before they came to bat. There were no scores after that and the Bisons had just five hits. It was a bullpen day for the Bisons and Pat Gallagher and Conor Larkin combined to create the 5-0 hole.

New Hampshire tried their best to lose this one. There was no score until the top of the ninth when Eddie Micheletti homered. Alex Amalfi, in his fourth inning of relief, had the chance to get the win but he let Binghamton tie the game. Off to extra innings. NH parlayed two singles, a walk, a wild pitch and a sac bunt into three runs. Game over? Not quite. Amalfi got the first out of the tenth but then Sam Gardner was summoned from the pen. Four hitters later the game was tied again at 4-4. Off to the eleventh where Victor Arias singled in yet another go ahead run. This time Caleb Freeman was able to get the save.

The original starter was Danny Thompson who shut out Binghamton over five innings. That was his second start in AA. His totals are nine innings, one hit, three walks and seven K's. His ERA is zero.

NH had nine hits, four of them came in extra innings. Arias was the only hitter with two hits.

Eric Snow as drafted in the sixth round of last years draft. He hit .285 with one home run in 43 games in Dunedin. Now in Vancouver he has three home runs in six games and he is hitting .333. One of the home runs, a three run bomb, came in Sundays game. Manuel Beltre and Peyton Williams added two run home runs. Those three home runs accounted for seven of the C's nine runs. Edward Duran had two triples, pretty good for a catcher. JR Freethy and Matt Scannell also had two hits.

Snow played primarily second base in Dunedin because of guys called Parker and Sanchez. In Vancouver he is playing shortstop which was his most played position in Dunedin last season. Does letting him escape from the prospect shadow help him play better? We shall see.

Landen Maroudis started and lasted two innings. In those two innings Spokane had two hits and three walks and Maroudis used 46 pitches. He still hasn't been able to reclaim his April form. Jack Nedrow was recently promoted from Dunedin and he hasn't figured out high A yet. He also was charged with two runs and his ERA is 12.38.

The D Jays scored ten runs with eight hits. They bunched most of their hits in the fifth and sixth innings where they scored nine runs. Jojo Parker hit a three run home run. Jake Casey tripled but the star was Dariel Ramon who doubled twice and drove in three runs.

Try Guthrie was the starter. In six innings he struck out six, walked none, and Lakeland scored one run on three hits.

Thompson and Guthrie were both facing the same team for the second time this week which makes their performances even better.
