NOTES

Buffalo scored six runs in the eleventh inning to break a 3-3 tie. William Simoneit doubled in two runs, Josh Rivera hit a three run home run and Jay Harry and Jon Clase both doubled. The Bisons had 13 hits, Rivera had two but the big hitter was Jay Harry who went 4-5 with a home run, a double, two singles and a walk.

Grant Rogers and CJ Van Eyk combined to pitch the first eight innings. Iowa scored three off Rogers in five innings and none off Van Eyk in three.

In the first NH game Hedbert Perez doubled in Carter Cunningham in the bottom of the seventh for a walk off win. Aaron Parker and Jorge Burgos each had two hits.

Austin Cates went five innings. Somerset scored four runs with four hits and four walks. Cates struck out...yes four.

Danny Thompson Jr started game two and he finally gave up a run. But just one in five innings. He struck out five. His AA ERA is 0.64. The game was tied at one into the seventh inning but Somerset scored four off Alex Amalfi for the DH split.

Victor Arias had the Fisher Cats only hit, a home run.

Landen Maroudis has had trouble going past two or three innings recently. In this game two singles and two walks led to just one run in the first inning. After a 1-23 second he walked the first hitters in the third and followed that with a single. He was removed and Gilberto Batista came on. He promptly let both of Maroudis's runners score and added four of his own for a six run inning for the Hops. After that bad start Batista threw five more innings without conceding another run.

The C's had five hits, Edward Duran homered while Jacob Sharp doubled in three runs.

Dunedin had two hits and made five errors. Juan Sanchez made three errors himself, he now has 18 this season. Derek Jeter famously made 56 errors in one of his class A seasons, Sanchez is not at that level but he is heading for 30 plus. Is he a poor fielder, is it him getting used to third base, or is it nothing to worry about? Time will tell.

Tampa scored seven off Troy Guthrie, although only four were earned.

In the FCL Pascual Archila continued his hot streak with his fifth home run. Max Viera had three hits. Viera is old for the FCL, he is 25, and he signed this week as a free agent.
