NOTES

The Bisons were held off the board until the seventh inning when Charles McAdoo homered. That was followed by a Willie McIver double and an Eloy Jimenez single. At that point the Bisons were losing 3-2, soon to become 4-2. Jevon Ward singled in the Bisons third run with two outs in the ninth but Jay Harry struck out to end the game.

Grant Rogers started, went five innings, had five K's, but was charged with three runs on eight hits.

New Hampshire took a 5-0 lead in the fourth inning, saw it drop to a 5-4 lead after seven, then scored seven runs between the eighth and ninth innings. NH had 18 hits and several hitters had big games. Cade Doughty went 4-5. Jorge Burgos homered again, his fifth. Eddie Micheletti hit his eleventh. Nick Goodwin singled, doubled twice and drove in three runs. Victor Arias also singled and doubled twice, he drove in five runs.

Danny Thompson Jr had been almost perfect in AA and for three innings that continued. But the first hitter of the fourth homered. That was followed by an infield single, a double and later a wild pitch and Thompson had given up three runs. After a single and a walk in the fifth inning Thompson was pulled. His pitch count had hit 81, a lot for 4.1 innings.

In Vancouver's first game Jake Casey homered and doubled. It was Casey's first home run at high A. Casey has only played 15 games this season across three levels but in eight Vancouver games he is hitting .240 with an OPS of .806. JR Freethy and Tucker Toman had two hits each.

Max Sherzer made the rehab start and he was followed by Landen Maroudis. Maroudis had an excellent April but a poor May and June. July started better as he came on in relief of Max and went four innings , one run, three hits and four K's. Can he build on this?

Game two was no contest, the C's had two hits in the game. Holden Wilkerson was gone in the second inning, Eugene scored five runs off him including two home runs.

Dunedin won in ten innings thanks to a wild pitch. Each team had just five hits, the Jays five were all singles. Jojo Parker had two of them.

Troy Guthrie started and gave up all of Jupiter's three runs. Angel Obando went three innings in relief and struck out six.

In the FCL Connor O'Halloran is having a tough time on rehab. He was pulled in the second inning having conceded six runs, his rehab ERA is 22.50. Franklin Rojas had two hits for the Jays.
