The FCL Jays lost in their semi-final to the Rays, who always seem to have strong minor league teams. Buffalo and Vancouver won, thanks in part to strong pitching. Landen Maroudis is having a nice bounce back part of his season. New Hampshire and Dunedin lost. In the DSL Sebastian Casanova scored twice and lost more.

Jevon Ward hit a two run home run in the fourth inning to open the scoring. Charles McAdoo tripled in the third run in the seventh. Overall it was a low offense game, five hits for Buffalo versus four for the Red Wings.
Chad Dallas didn't allow a hit through three innings but was pulled after 39 pitches. Not sure why he was pulled. Lazaro Estrada followed and he too pitched three innings. Javen Coleman struck out two in the ninth inning for his first AAA save.
In NH Danny Thompson Jr was charged with five runs in four innings. Two of the five were earned but Somerset did have seven hits off him.
NH had seven hits. Dub Gleed had two hits, Nick Goodwin two doubles. Arjun Nimmala had a double and a walk.
All of Vancouver's nine starters had a hit. In total the C's had eleven with Eric Snow and Maddox Latta having two each. JR Freethy had a triple and Alexis Hernandez a two run double.
Landen Maroudis threw six shutout innings, three hits, three walks, four K's. It was his second straight good start and third of his last four. It has been an up and down and back up season for him.
Jesus Sanchez was on rehab in the first Dunedin game but it was a different Sanchez, Juan, who doubled in two runs in the first inning. The game went on with Dunedin winning until the fifth when Colby Holcombe came on. The first six hitters reached, most by getting hits and boom, the Jays were down 7-2. The Jays did get three consolation runs in the seventh but not enough. Jake Cook and Blaine Bullard had two hits each.
Giacomo Taschin started and only gave up one run in three innings.
Carson Messina started game two and he walked three in 2.2 innings. He threw 31 strikes and 28 balls so command is still an issue. TJ Brock pitched an inning on rehab and struck out the side. He was up to 98 mph.
At the time of the game suspension the Jays had just three hits. Jake Cook singled in Dariel Ramon with the only run.
The FCL Jays were dominated by the Rays in their league semi-final. They were outhit 8-3 and out scored 4-2. The best player was Angel Rivero who started and threw four shutout innings.
In the DSL Sebastian Casanova was 4-4 with two walks, four runs scored and two RBI.
