NOTES
A four run first inning set Buffalo up for the win. The big hit was a three run home run by Davis Schneider. He also had a double. With just three days until rosters expand he wanted to remind the front office that he is still here is AAA. Similarly Yohendrick Pinango singled and doubled. And Ismael Munguia had two singles and a double.
Austin Marozas made the spot start and went 3.1 innings, one run allowed. He was followed by Ricky Tiedemann who got five outs. He struck out two while Rochester had one hit off him.
New Hampshire pitchers struck out 20 Hartford hitters and still lost. Nolan Perry went four innings and struck out seven. Alex Amalfi had five K's in two inning. Gage Stanifer recorded all six of his outs by strikeout and Yondrei Rojas had two Ks in the ninth. But all four pitchers also gave up at least one run. Perry and Amalfi gave up two.
Edward Duran hit his first AA home run. Dub Gleed and Alexis Hernandez had two hits each, Gleed also walked twice. Mathieu Vallee also had two hits.
Landen Maroudis has had an up and down season and also has ups and downs within games. On Saturday he started the game six up and six down. Then Spokane singled and walked their way to four runs in the third inning. If we look at the inning splits for Maroudis the third inning is his kryptonite. His WHIP by inning for innings one through four is 1.00; 1.30; 2.38; 1.68. One of those things is not like the other. I don't know why this is but hopefully the coaching staff is figuring it out.
Trailing 6-0 in the sixth Jake Casey hit his eleventh home run, a two run shot. It came of a LHP, only his second HR off a lefty this season. Casey also singled and walked. Dameury Pena homered in the eighth for his first high A home run for the Jays.
