Neither no optician, tell me what I ought to see
No one tells you nothing, even when you know they know
But they tell you what you should do
They don't like to see you grow

  1. Spencer Fordin details the manager's defense of his bullpen usage in "Tosca seeks relief for relief corps". Given the conversation that went on in the Box on Sunday, this one should generate some comments. Tonight at 7:05 it's Pat Hentgen vs. Jeremy Bonderman at Comerica Park.

  2. Larry Millson looks at the Jays losing ways in "Jays seeking answers for swoon". I've got two answers: Bad Play and Bad Luck.

  3. Geoff Baker talks to one of my favourite Jays in "Catalanotto getting his money's worth as a hitter: Jay hones art of putting bat on ball". Bonus points for correct usage of "hone", as discussed in an earlier thread.

  4. The Jays are offering 9 games this year on pay-per-view for $5.99 a game. Not bad if you're a diehard and like to have a lot of fans come over to your place. The games: Apr. 14 (DET), Apr. 18 (BAL), Apr. 25 (BAL), May 2 (CWS), May 17 (MIN), May 18 (MIN), Jun. 24 (TB), Jul. 22 (NYY), Aug. 9 (NYY).

Non Jays stories of note:
  1. Some guy named Craig Burley: "Free Benny Kauff (Part One)"
  2. AP: "Phillies christen new ballpark with loss"
  3. Janie McCauley: "Bonds makes a splash and gets kiss from godfather"

Anyone else see snow when they looked out the window first thing this morning? Scary stuff.
