Some twisted selection
That tangles me
To keep me alive

Beautiful. Stunningly beautiful. Except for all those outfield collisions, that is.

  1. If you like good news, you'll love the following: Spencer Fordin's "Lilly shuts down Devil Rays", Paul C. Smith's "Devil Rays go down quietly", Mike Rutsey's "Lilly stings back", Larry Millson's "Lilly silences Tampa Bay's red-hot bats", Mark Zwolinski's "Jays' Lilly baffles D-Rays", and AP's "Lilly a road warrior".

  2. Fordin Notes bring good news. In Mr. Fordin's words:

For now, the plan is simple: The slugger will play in a minor league game on Wednesday and take live batting practice again on Thursday. Barring any setbacks, Toronto's first baseman seems set for a Friday return in Puerto Rico.

Yay! If that isn't enough detail for you, check out Delgado to make home appearance" by Mike Rutsey.

  3. We've got dueling righties tonight at 7:05. The Rays are sending out the 1-0 Dewon Brazelton while the Jays have the 2-2 Bulldog Towers. As always, Spencer Fordin has the game preview.

Point of Discussion: After 77 games, how would you rate the Kielty for Lilly trade? Does your feelings about that trade change your feelings about Kielty for Stewart? I know for one I'm looking at Kielty for Lilly a lot more favourably than I was a few months ago.

Daily Diversion: Livejournal Random Images Generator. This one is often not safe for work: You've been warned. At any rate, this is possibly the greatest site I've ever seen. It takes the last 20 images posted on any Livejournal site and puts them all in one place without comment. It's about as unfiltered a look at humanity as you'll ever get. The "not safe for work" part is because, well, people often put rather odd images in their Livejournals. So check it out when you get home.
