Good pitching and lots of hitting led Syracuse, New Hampshire and Charleston to wins. Six minor leaguers had three hit games. Auburn emulate the big Jays with five errors in game 2, three in the last inning, as they were swept in their doubleheader.

Who needs Adams, Quiroz and Crozier? Syracuse scored in each of the first six innings and won it easily, amassing 18 hits with every starter registering a hit. Cameron Reimers pitched well, going seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits. Adam Peterson gave up a two run home run in the eighth, but it was the hitters night. Howie Clark, Simon Pond and Glenn Williams had three hits each. Julius Matos had two hits, one of them a home run.

Gustavo Chacin was back in a Fisher Cat uniform and picked up where he left off. Chacin only pitched five innings to keep him fresh for the playoffs, allowing one run on five hits. Travis Thompson continued his fine recent pitching with three shutout innings.
New Hampshire scored twice in the first. Dominic Rich doubled and scored when the pitcher threw away a ball he fielded off the bat of Aaron Hill. Hill scored when John Ford Griffin singled.
In the fourth Hill walked and John Hattig again hurt his former team with a two run home run.
Rich, Justin Singleton and Hattig had two hits each.

Charleston 8 Kannapolis 1
Charleston put up a six spot in the fourth and that was more than enough for Tom Mastny. Mastny pitched five innings allowing one run on four hits.
Charleston had 17 hits. Robinson Diaz, Rodney Medina, and Brian Patrick had three hits each. Jermy Acey had two hits, one of them a three run home run.

In game one Chris Leonard was rocked for four runs in 2.2 innings. Leonard gave up seven hits with one walk and a hit batter. Auburn battled back to score three in the bottom of the third, Chip Cannon homered, and singles by Klosterman, Corrente and Esposito scored two more. Unfortunately Eddie Cannon allowed three runs in the top of the fourth, all runs were unearned due to an error.
Adam Lind homered in the fourth but Auburn could not score again until the seventh. Auburn had the bases loaded with one out but could only score one on a groundout. Corrente and Esposito had two hits each out of Auburn's total of eight hits.
In the nightcap Juan Perez started, pitched 5.1 innings, and left with Auburn ahead 3-2. Auburn had scored two on a double by Adam Lind and the thrid run came on a home run from Joey Metropoulos .
Joey McLaughlin Jr. did an impression of his father, he allowed four runs on only one hit but the Doubledays made three errors in the inning. A lead off walk started the problem. A single, a Greg Powers error, an intentional walk, an Eric Nielsen error, and a Ryan Klosterman error let Jamestown score four.
