According to a report on ESPN.com the Jays have sent Kevin Cash to the Devil Rays in exchange for 21 year old pitcher Chad Gaudin.
Short Take: Unbelievable trade for the Jays. They had no plans to use Cash in anything more than a backup role, and Cash was likely to spend the season as injury insurance in Syracuse. Gaudin has a career 2.55 ERA in 265 minor league innings to go along with a wicked slider. Gaudin could be anything from a dark horse rotation candidate to the closer next season in Syracuse.
