And now for something... well, a little different

Today's photograph is The Dude, Eric Hinske. And it's a little bit weird...

I haven't done anything really genuinely crazy with my baseball photographic opportunities, or at least I hadn't until the other day. See, I'm still processing roll after roll after roll from the May 21-22 weekend (16 to go still), and I came across one I had marked with an X when processing the last batch that I did.

When I mark a roll with an X it's because there's nothing really exciting or noteworthy on it, so it's a good roll to use for testing. I have been slightly bleach-bypassing these negatives when I process them, and when I came across the X roll I decided to see what would happen to it if I entirely skipped the bleach. I've done it before, but never to baseball negatives.

The first thing you'll notice is how the setting sun's colour is greatly exaggerated (and I actually toned it down a little). But there are about a dozen other really bizarre things about this negative that made me decide that it was a good Friday afternoon picture. Enjoy. Or hate it.
