While preachers preach of evil fates
Teachers teach that knowledge waits
Can lead to hundred dollar plates
Goodness hides behind its gates
But even the president of the United States
Sometimes must have to stand naked

Keith Foulke returned to the Boston bullpen last night, facing two hitters in the Red Sox loss to Baltimore...

Al Leiter got hammered by Oakland - the A's remain in a dead heat with the Angels atop the AL West, and the Yankees drop to a game behind Oakland/Los Angeles for the Wild Card.

Tim Hudson hit his first career triple ("I didn't know whether to turn left or right at second base") in Atlanta's win over Cincinnati.

Dontrelle Willis joined Chris Carpenter as the only 19-game winners in the majors, as Florida beat the Mets 4-2.

The Phillies and Astros both won their games as well. So right now the Phils lead Houston by .5 game and Florida by 1.5 games for the Wild Card.

That was Sun Woo ("Sunny") Kim pitching for the Rockies and beating the Dodgers yesterday. Today's starter for Colorado is Byung-Hyun ("BK") Kim, who was once traded straight up for Shea Hillenbrand.

The most interesting thing about BK Kim in 2005 is that he has essentially no home-road differential. This is a pitcher who calls Coors Field his home park. But nevertheless...

SPLIT ERA W L Sv G GS IP H R ER HR BB SO BAA
Home 4.84 3 6 0 18 10 67.0 68 38 36 6 32 56 .266
Away 4.97 1 4 0 17 7 54.1 55 30 30 6 28 40 .266
Kim has been around forever, but he's still only 26 years old. Theo Epstein gave him $10 million for two years (Theo still regrets that one) - this the second year, and Kim will be one the more interesting free agents this winter.
