Auburn had their first game of the season last night taking down the Muckdogs.  Overall, the affiliates were 2-2 on the night.

Syracuse 1 @ Columbus 4

Davis Romero started for the Chiefs giving up two runs over 6.1 innings.  Romero gave up 8 hits and no walks and struck out just one batter.
 
The Syracuse bats were quiet getting just 6 hits.  Solano led the way with two hits, including a double.


NH 8 @ Trenton 4

David Purcey took the hill and was able to go 7 full innings for the Fisher Cats.  He gave up 3 runs, 8 hits and two walks while striking out three.  Twelve outs were by ground balls while just six were by fly balls.
 
Chip Cannon hit hit his 12th home run for NH while David Smith added his 9th.  Curtis Thigpen was 2-4 including a double and a walk.


Tampa 8 @ Dunedin 6

Dunedin had 12 hits leading to their 6 runs.  Klosterman and Diaz each had two doubles.  Also having two hits for the D-Jays were Patterson, Majewski, and Peralta.
 
Despite the 8 runs given up Jesse Litsch had a strong start.  He gave up 2 runs in 7 innings, allowing 8 hits, no walks, and striking out 5.  Dunedin gave up 2 unearned runs in the 8th and then Milton Tavarez gave up 4 runs in the ninth.


Lansing - day off


Auburn 4 @ Batavia 3

This year's 11th round pick, catcher Matthew Lane, hit a home run in his professional debut.  14th round slugger Shawn Scobee went 2-2 with a walk.  Chris Looze also had two hits in 4 ABs.
 
Casey McKenzie got the start for the Doubledays giving up 1 run in 4 innings.  Josh Sowers got the win with 2.1 scoreless innings in relief.
