Photo of the Day: Aaron Hill, and NFH needs your assistance

It's that time of year, folks, when I offer you a shot at fame and fortune! Or at least fame. Read on after the photograph for details.

Today's photo honors Aaron Hill's strong showing against the Nationals last night. Of course, he delivered with the bat and so I'm giving you a picture of him firing a ball over to first base:

So, I said something about fame, didn't I?

I need a few things for a project that I'm working on. I was working on it before and it got shut down due to an impending baby. I was working on it a second time and it got shut down due to a big job I got over Christmas. This time I am not letting it get shut down, period. Which means I have to move my butt on it before something crashes into my plans and sets off the airbag.

I need models-slash-actors: the project is a photographed comic book that I don't want to talk too much about until I have some stellar images to show off. Anyways, the bad news is that because my budget is whatever I can fit onto my credit cards and I need a bunch of expensive props that could get wrecked, there's no money in it for the models unless I strike it rich. But if you're willing to work for free / food / headshots / copies of the book, it's going to be a lot of fun.

There are a lot of roles I need to cast. If you think you fit into any of these, send an e-mail to aaron@aaronreynolds.ca along with a recent picture of yourself.

-a slightly crazed professor
-a hungover, downtrodden detective
-a one-eyed werewolf with a mean streak
-a '40s noir dame
-a tough guy
-a dandy
-a skinny street kid

There are more -- if you're an interesting-looking person and have some free evenings/nights (I should mention that aside from interiors, this all has to be shot at night), drop me a line. Some of these roles can be finished off in a single evening.

I also need leads on locations -- if anyone has or knows someone who has access to a somewhat empty warehouse, I require one for a single photograph and do not want to build a warehouse set. And if anyone has a ratty old apartment and/or a rickety fire escape, please let me know.

Cars: I need at least two distinctive-looking cars. First, I need a total beater, preferably rusty. If it was at some point a nice car, that's a plus. Second, I need a menacing car. I'm partial to Dodge Chargers, both the old and new ones, if someone has one. I'm not stuck on them, though -- any tough or mean looking car would be great. No one will be driving your car -- all photographs would be while the car was parked in my driveway.

I also need a taxi for two shots that I could finish in about half an hour or less. Does anyone have a cab-driving friend who wants to be in a comic book?

Prop weapons: I need a number of handguns. I don't want to buy them if I don't have to. They do not need to be good replicas.

I'll add more stuff in the thread as I think of what else I need, but if you can help me with any of this, please use the above e-mail link and drop me a line.
