No, not a dyslexic Chicago tune. It's your score for the night in the minor leagues, as the farm affiliates win 5 of 6.

Ottawa 1 @ Syracuse 7

Kevin Barker homered and doubled and drove in 3 to lead the Chiefs to a win. Chad Mottola added a 2 run shot, while Adam Lind went 2-2 with 2 walks. The Chiefs turned 3 double plays to aid pitchers Ty Taubenheim, Jordan DeJong and Ben Howard. Taubeneim started and gave up a run in 4.1 innings on 8 baserunners with 2 strikeouts. DeJong and Howard each allowed a solitary baserunners in 2 innings + of work.

Trenton 4 @ New Hampshire 5

The Fisher Cats scored a run in the bottom of the ninth on a two-out Trenton error and then another in the bottom of the thirteenth on a Manny Mayorson single for the win. Dustin Majewski homered again, and went 2-3 with 4 walks, 2 of which were intentional. Majewski is 24, and having a great season. He is a centerfielder with some power, speed and plate discipline. Chip Cannon reached base 3 times, and David Smith, Erik Kratz and Ryan Klosterman each pitched in with a couple of hits. Ismael Ramirez started and went 6 innings and allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits and 4 walks with 4 strikeouts. Justin James threw 3 shutout innings, allowing 3 baserunners while striking out 4. Oddly, James was having a mediocre season in Dunedin before being promoted but has been excellent in double A, with a 2.33 ERA and 7 walks and 28 strikeouts in 27 innings. Kyle Yates earned the win with a scoreless inning including 1 strikeout.

Clearwater 4 @ Dunedin 5

Carlo Cota's infield single in the 7th drove in Scott Dragicevich with the game-winning run in another nailbiter. Robinson Diaz went 3-4 and drove in 2 to lead the offence. Josh Kreuzer doubled twice. Danny Core allowed a run on 2 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings of work. After Kurt Isenberg and Milton Tavarez struggled in the middle innings, Connor Falkenbach shut the door in the ninth for the save.

Lansing 4 @ South Bend 5

The Lugnuts took a 4-1 lead to the bottom of the sixth, but could not hold it. Luke Hetherington went 3-5 with 2 ribbies and threw out a runner at the plate, while Brian Bormaster doubled twice and drew a walk. Chi-hung Cheng threw 4 very solid shutout innings, but lost control in the 5th. Josh Sowers got him out of a jam in the 5th, but then faltered in the sixth. Cheng allowed a run on 6 hits and 4 walks with 6 strikeouts in 4.2 innings.

Auburn 5 @ Oneonta 4

That makes 4 of them 5-4 suckers. Brian Jerolman's 2 run single capped a 3 run Doubleday uprising in the 6th inning. Jerolman also doubled in a run earlied as Auburn used their 5 hits quite efficiently. Chase Lirette and Dennis Bigley combined to keep the Tigers at bay despite allowing 9 hits.

Pulaski 14 @ Bluefield 7

The P-Jays scored 9 runs in the sixth inning to blow open a tight ballgame. Travis Snider walked and Jonathan Jaspe singled to start the inning, and later Snider singled and Jaspe tripled as the long inning wore down. Chris Emanuele had 3 hits, Josh Lex went 2-4 with 4 RBIs, and Leance Soto went 2-5. Snider ended up 2-4 with a walk. He's now hitting .331, with an acceptable 22-44 W/K ratio. Matt Barbara allowed 1 run on 4 hits and 1 walk with 4 strikeouts to receipt for the win.
