The Batting Prospect Summary

For newcomers to this feature, BB in the table below refers to the Batters Box prospect rating at the end of last season.

The best news since last time is the return to play of Ryan Patterson and Joey Metropoulos after injury. Statistics are through games of Tuesday, so Metropoulos 2007 debut is not yet reflected. We will get him next time.

Happy Birthday, Aaron Mathews. Travis Snider's recent injury to his side has been coincident with a hitting trough, but it probably will not be of any long-lasting significance. Curtis Thigpen and Sergio Santos have delivered early season performance which suggest that they may be contributors to the big club in 2008, but defence remains an issue for both of them.
