The Jays score 6 in the 9th to win and you want to know about the minor leagues??

The affiliates were 1-3, with two ugly losses.

Syracuse 0 at Toledo 6

John Thomson did not have a successful start for the Chiefs.  He gave up all 6 runs in 4.2 innings.  He struck out 4, walked 4 and gave up 7 hits.  Chad Mottola had 2 of the 6 Syracuse hits on the night.

New Hampshire 1 at Akron 8

Rob Cosby hit a solo HR while the rest of the team managed just three singles.  Yusaku Iriki took his lumps on the mound giving up 5 runs in just two innings.

Dunedin 9 at Daytona 5

The D-Jays pounded out 16 hits last night.  Hetherington and Kyle Phillips each hit homers.  Hetherington also had a single and 2 walks out of the leadoff spot.  Chad Cota and Brian Jeroloman each had 3 hits.  Jeroloman has one of the more unique batting lines I've seen:  .261/.432/.343.  It'll be interesting to see how he progresses when pitchers have a better ability to throw strikes at higher levels.

Orlando Trias got the start and pitched well enough to win:  5.1 innings and 3 runs allowed.  He walked 5, gave up 5 hits while striking out 4.

Lansing 4 at Dayton 5

Travis Snider was in a bit of a mini-slump recent, going 7-32 in the 9 games prior to last night.  Perhaps he'll go on another tear after going 3-5 with a double last night.  Matt Liuzza had a solo home run.

Rey Gonzalez started for the Nuts gave up 3 earned runs in 6 innings.  He struck out 1 and walked 1 while giving up 8 hits.

3 Stars!
3 - Chad Cota
2 - Brian Jeroloman
1 - Luke Hetherington
