There was only GCL action on the slate yesterday. Apparently MLB doesn't want any competition for the All Star Game.

John Tolisano had the only notable performance on the day.

GCL Jays 2 @ GCL Tigers 9

The Jays didn't have a great performance yesterday. However, John Tolisano managed to get 2 of the Jays 4 hits on the day, including a HR. Tolisano also stole a base, as did Kevin Ahrens.

The Jays struck out 15 times yesterday. The Tigers 4th round pick out of LSU, Charlie Furbush, had 10 Ks in 5 innings. Not knowing the Tigers system it seems odd that a 4th round pick out of a major college program would be in the GCL. Strike out hat tricks were 'earned' by Fuenmayor, Chavez, and Talley.

Marcus Walden, the Jays 9th rounder out of Fresno CC got the start and pitched 4 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk. He struck out 4.

And in case you were wondering, there's still no GCL Jays website at MiLB.com.
