The Dunedin Blue Jays, I mean. The farm affiliates went 3-1 last night.

Syracuse 2 @ Scranton Wilkes-Barre 8

Let's keep this one brief. The Yankees scored 4 runs in the fifth to break open a tight game. Russ Adams reached base 3 times in 4 tries, while Adam Lind singled and walked in two appearances. Mark Redman started and was touched for 5 earned runs in 4.1 innings. He was full value for it, as 9 batters reached base and he gave up 2 homers. Jordan DeJong did not fare much better in relief.

New Hampshire 3 @ New Britain 2

Dustin Majewski provided the sock with a homer and a key double, while Kyle Yates threw 8 effective innings in a Fisher Cat win. The Fishers fell behind as Yates gave up a 2nd inning solo homer. Majewski evened the score with a 3rd inning solo shot of his own. New Hampshire broke on top in the fifth on a 2 out double by Juan Peralta and singles from Mayorson and Mathews. The Rock Cats drew even in the sixth before the Fishers scored the deciding run in the top of the seventh on a Ryan Klosterman walk, a Majewski double and a Peralta groundout. Yates went 8 innings and gave up 8 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 2.

Dunedin 9 @ Sarasota 3

The young Jays schooled their elders by making the most of 10 hits. It began in the first inning. After a single and a walk, Eric Nielson singled in one and Jacob Butler doubled in two. After Sarasota scored 2 in the top of the 4th to make it close, Anthony Hatch restored the 3 run margin with a 2 run shot in the 5th inning. Sarasota scored a run in the top of the 7th, but Dunedin put the game away with 4 runs in the bottom of the frame. Hatch doubled to open the inning and Nielsen, Patton and Butler followed with walks to score one. Kyle Phillips 2 run single gilded the lily. Robert Ray started and went 4 innings, giving up 6 hits, walking one, and striking out 5. Russ Savickas followed with 3 innings of 3 hit, 1 run ball for the win. Brian Jeroloman played second base, perhaps for the first time in his pro career.

Lansing, scheduled day off

Auburn, scheduled day off

GCL Jays 7 @ GCL Tigers 2

The Jays rallied for four runs in the fourth with two out and coasted to the win. John Tolisano walked and Joel Collins followed with a homer. Yohermyn Chavez doubled and Kevin Ahrens capped the inning with another 2 run shot. Chavez went 3-4 and threw out a runner at the plate, while Justin Jackson went 1-3 with a walk, but did make his 4th error of the season. Brian Ashman threw 3 perfect innings, including 4 strikeouts, for the win.
