Three wins and two losses as New Hampshire score fifteen runs, not that Ricky Romero needed them.  Dunedin and Auburn each earned ninth inning wins.  Syracuse futility streak has reached ten games.

The minor league season has just over two weeks to go, a little more for Auburn, a little less for the GCL Jays.  If the season ended today three Jays affiliates would be in the playoffs.  Dunedin and Auburn lead their divisions by 2 and 3 games respectively.  The Midwest league has the most generous allocation of playoff spots, eight in total, and Lansing are looking good to be one of them.   New Hampshire are two games out of a playoff berth.   Syracuse and the GCL Jays have no hope of a playoff spot.

Syracuse 1  Pawtucket 2

The Chiefs ran their losing streak to ten games as they could only muster four hits.  Justin James pitched well as a spot starter, he went five innings and allowed one run on four hits.  Jordan DeJong gave up the winning run in the eighth.

New Hampshire 15  Binghamton 3

This was a 3-1 game heading to the sixth when the Fisher Cats put up an eight.  Ricky Romero pitched seven innings and allowed all three runs, two earned, on four hits.  Binghamton scored two of the runs on a home run in the seventh, through six Romero had given up an unearned run on three hits.  The Fisher Cats had 19 hits, including home runs from Rob Cosby and David Smith.  Aaron Mathews, Dustin Majewski and Juan Peralta had three hits each.  David Smith went 1-3 but walked three times and scored four runs as the Mets were being careful with New Hampshire's hottest hitter.

Tampa 3  Dunedin 4

This game was tied at 3 after four innings and stayed that way until the bottom of the ninth.  With two outs in the ninth Luke Hetherington, David Corrente and Chris Gutierrez each singled to earn the win for Dunedin.  AJ Wideman started and delivered an AJ Wideman start, seven innings, ten hits, three runs.  Carlo Cota, Hetherington and Gutierrez had two hits each, Jacob Butler drove in two runs and scored another.

Lansing 7  Dayton 8

Lansing led 7-2 in the sixth before the wheels fell off and Dayton scored six unanswered runs off Julio Pinto, Chris Reddout and Jeremy Zick.  Offensively Lansing's first three runs came on a Paul Franko home run, the next two on a Matt Liuzza home run.  Travis Snider, Liuzza and Franko each had two hits.

Auburn 5  Williamsport 3

Auburn led 3-2 going to the eighth but Cody Crowell allowed the tying run.  In the ninth Darin Mastroianni led off with a double and scored on a Ben Zeskind sac fly.  Adam Calderone later doubled in the insurance run.
