It's a pitcher's week, and Marc Rzepczynski set the tone for the evening with an overpowering performance in Auburn. Adam Lind replied nicely for the hitters in the second game of a rare Chief double-dip sweep. The farm affiliates went 6-2.

The 2007 season would have to be considered a mildly disappointing one for the Jay pitching prospects. The top prospects going into the year, Ricky Romero and David Purcey, battled health problems. Jesse Litsch did progress, joined the big league rotation and held his own, but none of the other highly regarded pitching prospects at the higher levels, including Josh Banks, Kyle Yates and Brandon Magee, took a step forward. There was good news lower down in the system, as Adrian Martin and Nate Starner surprised, while 2007 draftees, Brett Cecil, Marc Rzepczynski, Brad Mills and Robert Leffler did well in their pro debuts.

Next week, we look at the hitters for the last time before our end-of-season prospect list.
